Jonathan Balash, P.Eng.
BSc in Mechanical Engineering with Distinction, University of Alberta
ABOUT ME
My interest in off-road vehicles, street bikes, high performance cars and mechanical systems has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Obtaining my BSc in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Alberta is a dream come true, as I am finally able to analyze and design the complicated systems that once mystified me. Each course I took motivated me to further my knowledge in that subject area; the real world experience I have with mechanical systems allows me to associate the theory I have learned in class to real world examples outside of the textbook. I am currently employed as a Process Safety Information Engineer with Enbridge. My main focus in this position is to evaluate the maximum operating pressures of Enbridge Liquids facility piping. My future goals include becoming proficient in multiple scripting languages including Python and investigating how AI can be used to produce a variety of data analytics outputs.
